



Don Marco was bred by the famous Garrison Ranch in Thousand Oaks, California He has been many times Show Champion and scored Reserve National Champion in 1990 as a two year old. His sire, Leopardo II was a multi-champion Halter and performance horse at the National level, a popular sire who has many National Champions to his credit. Leopardo II's sire was the world-famous Terry-bred stallion Legionario III, 1969 National Champion in Spain. Don Marco's dam, Garbosa XVIII, is by the 16.3 hand imported Spanish military stallion Temerario V, two-time U.S. National Champion and also sire of National Champions. Garbosa XVIII has produced several National Champion Halter and Performance champions.
With an impressive show record behind him, Don Marco was retired from competition, and began his career as a breeding stallion, as well as an exhibition stallion, schooled in alta escuela by his long time trainer, Mr. David Jay. David's career has spanned several decades, and he traveled for many years as head trainer with the Lippizan show.
Don Marco and David were a real crowd pleaser at the California shows, with Don Marco living up to his potential with such spectacular movements as the Passage, Spanish Walk, Flying Lead Changes, the Waltz, and even the rare Spanish trot
